Grocery shopping is not fun, let's get that straight. This area is severely lacking a grocery store to make food shopping enjoyable. Which is exactly why the Hudson Valley needs a Wegmans.

Wegmans is the premiere grocery store in Western New York. I lived in WNY for three years and fell in love with Wegs. I know what you're thinking: how good could a grocery store be? It was ranked the 2nd on FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Places to Work For," 10 on Forbes magazine's "America's Best Employers," and was rated America's favorite grocery store in 2016.

Besides those prestigious awards, Wegmans has a great selection and even better prices. Their store brand items are top quality, and taste just like the brand names. Their flagship store in Pittsford, NY, has an entire cafe in there. There is also a hot lunch bar in every store, ready to cook meals, fresh sushi, and the best subs you will ever eat. Need a prepped meal, fresh produce, craft beer, and a hot sub made to order? Wegmans is the spot to get it all, and more. They even have delivery service, what's not to love?

Over 7,000 people contacted Wegmans to have them open a store in their town last year. Yes, I was one of those people. Wegmans is opening a location in Westchester soon, but that doesn't help us in the mid-Hudson Valley. You can also contact them to help get the Hudson Valley a Wegmans.
