What’s Happening This Weekend: Summer’s Winding Down

As hard as it is to believe, August is almost over, Labor Day is right around the corner, and then it's back-to-school. Before panic sets in, take a deep breath and get out this weekend and take advantage of some late summer fun throughout the Hudson Valley. Here's a few ideas with links to find more.
Saturday, August 19; 9:30-11:30: Youngster Yogis on the Lawn at the Vassar Alumnae House. Hudson River Yoga conducts these sessions for children ages 2-6 9:30 until 10:15 and children ages 7-12 10:30 until 11:30. Children can learn stretching, strengthening, and relaxation skills. Saturday, August 19; 9-12:30: Bethel Woods Play Theater For Kids, final performance. This performance culminates three weeks of summer camp as kids write, stage, produce an original theater production. They also design their own sets, costumes, props, and lighting. Saturday, August 19; 2: 13th Annual Woodstock Volunteers' Day at Andy Lee Recreation Field. There will be music, food, and fireworks, all to recognize all of the work and importance of volunteers in the community. To find other events going on in Ulster County this weekend, click here.
Saturday, August 19; 11-6: Angry Orchard Farmers' Market. Find locally raised meats, handmade cheeses, local fruits and vegetables, gourmet treats, and art from area artisans.
