What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley
I apologize for the line that you are about to read. For most Hudson Valley students, there's less than a month of summer left before the school bus picks them up to start another school year. In light of that, get out and have some fun. There are lots of things to do and here are a few ideas with links to find even more.
Saturday, August 11; 12-3: Atlantic Kayak Tours at Norrie Point in Staatsburg. If you have little or no paddling experience this is the program for you. Depending on the day you could kayak and explore Black Creek, Esopus Island, as well as Mills Mansion. While this program is geared towards adults, children 12 and older can also participate. Saturday, August 11; 11-3: Neversink Farmer's Market at the Neversink General Store. Buy local produce, flowers, and hand-made items. Food also available for purchase. Find more events going on in Sullivan County and the Catskills this weekend.
Saturday, August 11; 9-4: Blueberry Festival at Canal Street and Liberty Square in Ellenville. Live music and vendors, homemade Blueberry Muffin contest, children's' area, a wide variety of food will be available. The day starts with a Blueberry pancake breakfast at Pioneer Engine Company. Saturday, August 11; 9-4: Annual Fire Truck Show at the Orange County Fire Training Center in New Hampton. See antique fire trucks and fire apparatus. There will also be a Tricky Tray. Find out more events going on this weekend in Orange County.
