On this Veterans' Day weekend in the Hudson Valley, there are many opportunities to salute our veterans as well as enjoy spending time with family and friends. While we have highlighted a few events here, we've also provided links for you to find even more events going on throughout the Hudson Valley this weekend.

 

Sunday, November 12; 10-3: Bring the family to the 46th Annual Poughkeepsie Train and Hobby Show at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. See operating layouts, model exhibits, railroad clinics, dealer tables, railroad movies, and demos. Plus, you'll see slot cars, die casts, models and more. Admission is $5 adults and $2 children. Saturday, November 11; 1-3: Free movie screenings every Saturday at E.B. Crawford Public Library in Monticello. The first Saturday of the month a teen movie will be shown (rated up to PG-13) and the other Saturdays will be family movies (rated up to PG). They are recent releases or films relevant to an upcoming holiday. Bring a friend and some snacks and settle in for a fun afternoon. Saturday, November 11; 10-4: Kingston High School Tiger Marching Band First Holiday Marketplace. Get some holiday shopping done with over 30 vendors on hand, find handmade treasures, stop by the bake sale, and more all at Chambers Elementary School on Morton Boulevard in Kingston. To find other events going on in Ulster County this weekend, click here.

Saturday, November 11; 12-4: Thanksgiving Tasting at Museum Village in Monroe. Visitors are welcome to see and taste what a traditional 19th Century Thanksgiving Dinner would have been like. On Saturday, they will serve a dinner like those during WWI and on Sunday it will be cooked on an open hearth.
