What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley: Memorial Day Edition

While there are Memorial Day parades and services scheduled all weekend long throughout the Hudson Valley, there are also tons of other events to enjoy on this long, holiday weekend. Here's a few suggestions with links to find even more.

Saturday, May 27; 9-5: Revolutionary War Event at Rombout Rural Cemetery, hosted by Friends of the Fishkill Supply Depot and the Rombout Rural Cemetery Association. There will be re-enactments and demonstrations throughout the day. You can interact with living historians dressed in 1776 costume, see graves of Fishkill hero citizens that date back to 1747, and more. Saturday, May 27; 10 am: Farming with the Kids at Apple Pond farm, 80 Hahn Road in Callicoon Center. Kids will get hands-on experiences like milking a goat, feeding sheep and chickens, and more. Great photo opportunities!  To find other events going on in Sullivan County this weekend, click here.

Saturday, May 27; 1 pm: Rondout National Historic District Walking tour. You'll learn how immigrants turned farmland into what became a thriving marine village in the early 1800's.
