What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

There is something for everyone this weekend throughout the Hudson Valley, plus there are many Craft Fairs and Holiday Bazaars going on throughout our area. Here's just a few highlighted events. No mater what you decide to do this weekend, have a great one.

Saturday, November 14, 11-5: The 44th Annual Hudson Valley Glass Club Vintage Glass & Pottery Show & Sale at the Red Hook Fire House on Route 9. You'll find all American made glass to add to your Collections. Plus, free Glass ID & appraisal with refreshments available. Raffle entry is included with admission of $4. Glass Companies Include: Roseville, Hull, Van Briggle, Weller, Fenton, Fire King, Jeannette, Hocking, Hazel-Atlas, Rookwood, McCoy, Fiesta, Hall, Cambridge, Heisey, Fostoria, Duncan & Miller, and Imperial.

Saturday, November 14, 5-6:30 pm: Learn To Read Tarot With Jennifer Wood at Crystal Connection on 116 Sullivan St. in Wurtsboro. This course is for beginners and adepts, and all those in between, who feel called to open their innate psychic ability through the use of the Tarot deck. You will learn to conduct readings for yourself and others.  

Saturday, November 14, 10:30 am: Reading with Rover at Olive FreeLibrary, Rt 28-A in West Shokan. Certified therapy dogs are the perfect companions to help reluctant readers gain more confidence in their reading skills. The dogs are incredibly patient and friendly. Come practice reading to a therapy dog! For children of all ages who can read.

Saturday, November 14, 10-4 and Sunday, November 15 1-4: Fall Holiday Book Fair at The Newburgh Library Lobby. The annual fall holiday book sale presented by the Friends of the Newburgh Library offers bestsellers, art, coffee table and specialty books, all at great prices. Shop for the holidays and support the library.
