What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

It's the last weekend in June, can you believe it? Before this summer passes you by, get out and enjoy some of the many events going on this weekend throughout the Hudson Valley.

Friday, June 26-Sunday, June 28:  Third Saint Joseph's Church Polish Festival. Celebrate the Polish heritage, culture and history. There will be live entertainment, bounce house, face painting, Polish food and beer, balloon animals. Plus live Polka music, Polish folk dance, DJ, and more. Pollsh folk items and treasures for sale. Polka Mass Sat. 4 pm. Hours are Fri,. 6-10 pm, Sat. 10 am-10 pm, and Sun. 11 am-6 pm.

Saturday, June 27: 10-11. Celebrating Sullivan Spaces – Walk and Learn, with Sullivan Renaissance. If you would like to learn more about gardening, including companion planting and dividing perennials, this is for you. The class will be taught by Sullivan Renaissance Horticulture Coordinator Diana K. Weiner, using the plantings and gardens cared for by the Roscoe-Rockland Chamber of Commerce, the hamlet’s volunteer beautification group. For more information, call 845-295-2445.

Saturday, June 27: 1 pm. Rondout National Historic District Walk Tour. Hear how immigrants and entrepreneurs transformed farmland into a thriving maritime village that mushroomed during the era when Rondout was the terminus for the Delaware and Hudson Canal that opened in 1828. Some uphill walking involved. Admission is $10/adult, $5/children under 16, Free/FHK members.

Saturday, June 27: 12-5. Strawberry, Chocolate and Wine Festival at Baldwin Vineyards in Pine Bush. Celebrate your three favorite foods - strawberries, chocolate and wine. Admission includes: piece of strawberry shortcake, a cheesecake brownie topped with raspberry wine, marinated strawberries and whipped cream, a chocolate dipped fresh strawberry, a tasting glass with the Baldwin logo, a "Top Ten Ways to Enjoy Strawberry Wine, " a tasting of Baldwin's 12 wines including Chardonnay, Brut Champagne, Merlot, Riesling, Port, Strawberry and Raspberry wine. 845-744-2226.
