Saturday, May 30: 1-4. Val-Kill Picnic & Square Dance. The Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Partnership & the National Park Service invite you to a Val-Kill Picnic & Square Dance. Music by Jay Ungar & Molly Mason Family Band. Delicious food, drinks, music and kids activities! Square dancer of all abilities and ages welcome!  $10, Children 5-15 years: $7, 4 and under: FREE. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Partnership's mission is to support preservation and interpretation at Val-Kill and programming dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt's ideal in our time.

Saturday, May 30: 10-11 Farming with kids at Apple Pond Farm, 80 Hahn Rd., Callicoon Center. Kids do real farm chores: milking goats, feeding chickens, collecting eggs, grooming horses, harvest from the garden. Activities vary. No reservations required. $6/person, under 3 free. Minimum of 5 people required to hold event.

Saturday, May 30: 11-4:30 Wallkill Valley Land Trust Historic House Tour. Wallkill Valley Land Trust invites you to a historic house tour of houses on the land.  The Fruits of Marlborough: From the Highlands to the Hudson.  The 2015 tour explores the rich and enduring cultural history, architectural traditions and agricultural heritage of Marlborough’s hamlets – Milton, Marlboro and Lattingtown, with sweeping views of orchard-crowned hills to the west and the Hudson River Valley to the east.  Proceeds to benefit WVLT’s land preservation efforts. $40 / $35 in advance ($5 member discount).

Saturday, May 30: 10-12. Plant Swap. Fourth annual Hudson Valley Garden Association Plant Swap. It's a fun way to get rid of any extra plants you may have (perennial divisions, seedlings, pack annuals, unwanted houseplants) in exchange for new plants by trading with other gardeners. Plant drop-off and sorting 9am-10am; swapping begins at 10am. Rain or shine. All are welcome - bring a friend, but not your pet. 845-418-3640.
