What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the Bunny trail and here comes some great activities for you and your family and friends this weekend throughout the Hudson Valley.

Saturday, April 4: 9:30-10:30 am. Funny Bunnies at the Outdoor Discovery Center at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, Cornwall. Learn about the native Eastern Cottontail, then take a walk in search of signs of wild rabbits. Meet live rabbits at the center. Make a bunny craft to take home. Pre-paid registration required. Two sessions: 9:30 am and 11 am. 845-534-5506 x204.

Saturday, April 4: 11-2. Easter Bake Sale at the St. Gregory Orthodox Church on Rte. 376 in Wappingers Falls. Annual Easter bake sale features homemade pirogi, poppy seed rolls, nut rolls, Easter breads (babka and kulich) as well as an assortment of other baked goods and desserts. The church is located near the Dutchess County Airport.

Saturday, April 4: 11:30 am. Bunny Fun is Coming! Visit the famous Bunny at The Corner in Eldred as he hangs around for a couple of hours with your children. This is a free event. No donations of any kind are required. Take as many pictures as you want as well.  A simple fun day with the family. Enjoy some dancing with the bunny, along with decorating an Easter tree, and don’t forget to wear your Easter Bonnets for the Bonnet Parade before he leaves. Treats for all the children as well.

Saturday, April 4: 5-8 pm. The 5th Annual Charlie Chaplin Tribute Exhibit. The 5th Annual Charlie Chaplin Tribute Exhibit features four open house events  and Chaplin photos, articles, music, books, films & memorabilia. Location: Little Shop of Horses, 37 North Front St., 2nd Floor, Kingston NY 12401(over J&J’s Hobbies). This exhibit will be available from April 4 – May 30, 2015.
