It's the weekend before St. Patrick's Day and the last official weekend of winter, as spring begins Friday, March 20, so get ready to celebrate!

 

 

Saturday, March 14: 1-5. Paddy on the River is the Hudson Valley’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration that features live music and entertainment, traditional Irish foods and fare, Irish themed items, plus a wide variety of beer! Be at the Beacon Riverfront Park for all of the food, fun, and festivities. A variety of vendors will serve up traditional Irish foods and fare. Beer available for purchase and non-alcoholic beverages and water are also available. Entertainment provided by Derek Dempsey & Celtic Soul, The Mighty Ploughboys and Ireland the Band! Paddy on the River will be the first place you can try Sam Adams Stout! Get your tickets here.

Saturday, March 14: 1 pm. St. Patrick's Parade in Rock Hill. The parade will step off at The Sullivan and end at I86 Automotive.  There will be live Irish music, bagpipers, local fire and police departments marching, antique cars, horses, floats by local businesses and organizations and more!  Children’s Tent 11:30am—1:00pm: Face painting, crafts and activities for the kids brought to you by the YMCA. Located at the RH Farmers’ Market Lot (223 Rock Hill Drive).  Live music by Billy Latimer from 12:00PM—1:00PM

Sunday, March 15: 1 pm. The 28th annual Kingston St. Patrick's Parade will begin at Kingston Plaza, head up Westbrook Lane, turn on to Clinton Avenue, then Albany Avenue, and will follow Broadway to its end. Trophies will be given in the categories Best Band, Best School Unit/Float, Best Decorated Float, Best Decorated Fire Department, Best Original Group and Best Original Irish Spirit.

Sunday, March 15: 11 am. Children's St. Patrick's Day Open-House and Craft Workshop at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen.  Children ages 3-11 will make a craft, play horsey-themed games and will take a ride on the Harness Racing 3-D Simulator. The craft is a Lucky Pot of Gold noise maker that they can carry and shake while watching the parade pass by the Museum. Everyone is invited to enjoy cookies, tea and hot chocolate. This is an open-house event; no reservations are necessary. You may come and go as you please. Admission per child; adults are free. After the workshop stake out a spot for the parade which begins at 2 pm.
