What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

The Holiday season is here and there are so many great events going on throughout the Hudson Valley, it was tough to only highlight a few for this weekend. At the end of this article, you'll see information on the many tree lightings going on this weekend.
Saturday, December 6: Trains on Main is pulling into Livingston Manor for its seventh year! Bring the kids and enjoy this spectacular holiday treat! Amazing model trains and real historical artifacts will be on display at the CAS Arts Center, Morgan Outdoors, and other businesses around Livingston Manor throughout December. Visitors can enjoy the show up close or looking in the windows even when closed to experience the magical nostalgia of the season.
Sunday, December 7: 10-5. 15th Annual Catskill Fiber Celebration will be at the Woodstock Firehouse. This is juried sale of fiber art by local artisans. Various fiber technique demos.Free admission.
Saturday, December 6: 8 am-11 am. Come and have breakfast with Santa at the American Legion in Greenwood Lake. Photos with Santa available. Santa's Gift Shop will be open for you to purchase small gifts for the holiday.
Sunday, December 7: 9-5. Holiday Open House at Vanderbilt Mansion on Route 9 in Hyde Park. The home is decorated in all of it's holiday splendor and will remain so through New Year's week. Admission will be free on Sunday, but will charge regular admission the rest of the season.
