Fall is here, and while the leaves are changing color and the days and nights are getting cooler, there is still so much to see and do this weekend in the Hudson Valley.

The Sugar Loaf Fall Festival will celebrate its 45th year this weekend on October 11, 12, 13, from 10:00 to 6:00. It is the perfect place to spend the weekend watching the leaves turn colors, getting a breath of fresh cool air, and enjoying the festival filled with dozens of visiting crafters from the Tri-State region. Plus, don't miss the New American Oktoberfest at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center Saturday, October 11th from noon- 6, featuring live music and dozens of America's best beers, admission is free.

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's Fall Festival: all-day on Saturday, October 11. Enjoy face painting, coloring, airplane-related drawings, pumpkins for sale that you can paint and keep or, you can give them to drop out of airplanes. A mystery pilot may appear, Cannon O’Skully, to lob the orange orbs from his biplane. Candy and treats are dispensed to deter tricks, no costume required. However, each day judges will pick the best children’s and teens’ dress up, whether a vintage aviation look or favorite characters that fly. The grand prize is an antique automobile ride after that day’s show, with airshow passes, model kits and gift shop selections as runner-up prizes.

The Callicoon Art Walk: Saturday, October 11th from 5-9. Come visit the growing art, music and retail community in the picturesque hamlet of Callicoon on the Delaware. During the Art Walk, retailers, galleries and restaurants will be open until 9PM. The inauguralART WALK (which is FREE to the public) will turn Callicoon into a lively and varied art and music venue. A map will be available at all participating retailers and galleries highlighting the locations of exhibiting artists.

Quilts in the Valley: Wiltwyck Quilters' Guild presents Quilts In The Valley at Rondout Valley Middle School in Accord, Sunday, October 12 from 10-4. This is a beautiful show with plenty to keep both experienced and novice quilters interested.  Plus, it's a great way to find out about quilting and talk to quilters from all over the region. With so much to see and so much to do the show will keep you busy all day.  Ample free parking is available and buses are welcome!
