Saturday, March 11; 11-4: 8th Annual Maple Fest to be held at the Randolph School, Route 9D, in Wappingers Falls. You are invited to see how maple syrup is made from the tapping of the trees, collecting, and boiling of the sap that makes maple syrup. Admission is $10 adults and $5 for child. Sunday, March 12; 2: Basic Seed Starting Class, presented at Time and the Valleys Museum in Grahamsville. Learn everything you need to know to start your gardens from seeds, everything will be ready for you to transplant them outside once the weather warms. Saturday, March 11, 1-3: HikeSafe at Catskill Interpretive Center on Route 28 in Mt. Tremper. This program will give every hiker the ten important items you should have with you on any hike or venture into the outdoors. Saturday, March 11; all-day: Gather your family and friends and get creative with the Design your own Sun Catcher Contest at Gillinder Glass Factory in on Erie Street in PIrt Jervis. The winning design will be produced at the factory with the winner receiving the very first one produced.
