What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley
The first weekend in March is here. Raise your hand if you think 2017 is already going way too fast! While the temperatures will be a little cooler than we enjoyed this week, it's still a perfect time to get out and have some fun in the Hudson Valley.
Saturday, March 4; 12-2: Learn to Row at the Hudson River Rowing Association Boathouse for free. The classes take place indoors and you can meet rowers as well as work with coaches to learn to row. Saturday, March 4: Sheep Shearing at Apple Pond Farm, located on Hahn Road in Callicoon Center. Stop by and see the demonstration and bring a non-perishable food item for the local food pantry. Saturday, March 4; 4 pm: Ulster County Music Educators All County Choral Music Festival. See performances by area students from elementary, junior high, and senior high school at this annual concert. Admission is $6 adults, $3 students/seniors. The concert will be held at SUNY Ulster's Stone Ridge Campus in the Senate Gymnasium. Saturday, March 4; 5-7: Live Art Demonstrations at Wallkill River School of Art. Every Saturday in March you can attend teaching artists live demonstrations in various art forms and medias.
