What’s Been Your Favorite Song This Summer?

We've been enjoying the weather and fun that comes with summer and we've also been digging the new music that has come out within the past few months. There's always that one song that makes its presence known and becomes THE song of summer.

Now, looking at the Billboard Country Song chart for the week of August 8th ( which is this up coming week) the top ten list looks like this:

1. Luke Bryan - Kick The Dust Up
2.Little Big Town- Girl Crush
3. Sam Hunt- Take Your Time
4. Sam Hunt- House Party

5. Brantley Gilbert- One Hell of an Amen
6. Thomas Rhett- Crash and Burn
7. Jason Aldean- Tonight Looks Good on You
8. Zac Brown Band- Loving You Easy
9. Eric Church- Like a Wrecking Ball
10. Chris Jenson- Buy Me a Boat

Personally, I think "Buy Me a Boat"  by newcomer Chris Jenson is a perfect country summer song. I also think an argument can be made for Sam Hunt's "House Party" which has more of a country feel than "Take Your Time." While "Girl Crush" isn't a conventional summer song, it's been one of my favorites this summer (you could even say this year). Luke Bryan obviously isn't hanging around quietly, his latest "Kick The Dust Up" is doing big things and while at first I wasn't a huge fan of the song...it's growing on me.
