Recently we've seen the Hudson Valley become a popular filming location for TV shows and movies.

I think one of the most popular movies to be filmed in the Hudson Valley is actually from a few years ago. Back in 2001, the Hudson Valley was the home to the, now, classic comedy Super Troopers.

The movie, which starred Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan and Erik Stolhanske, was filmed all throughout the Hudson Valley. The opening scene,  according to IMDB, was filmed on Route 117 in Pleasantville, while the bar scene took place in Newburgh. Fishkill, Wappingers, Beacon and Poughkeepsie are all on the list of previous filming locations as well.

Last week the trailer for Super Troopers 2 was released. The highly anticipated had Hudson Valley fans buzzing, did they film in the HV again?

This time around the boys are heading to America's top hat and helping out the Troopers in Canada.

Unfortunately, there were no scenes in the sequel filmed in the Hudson Valley. Maybe they'll make it into a trilogy? Wishful thinking.

Super Troopers 2 hits theaters on April 20th.
