Hudson Valley Malls Celebrate the Holidays in Style Back in the Day

Growing up in the Hudson Valley back in the 80s and 90s meant that you probably hung out at your local mall a lot. 

The weekends were all about the movies and the food court, but also walking around just doing laps, not even shopping, was a popular way to socialize.

However, the holidays were a different type of fun at our local malls. As a Dutchess County kid, my parents made sure to bring us to Center Court at the Poughkeepsie Galleria during Halloween, Christmas and Easter.

There was always something going on, whether it was musical performances by local artists and students, arts & crafts or a visit from Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny the Poughkeepsie Galleria was always prepared.
