Recently one of our listeners sent us information about a cold case that we've never heard about before, so we thought we would share with you details of a 70 year old cold case.

1 Year Old Freddie Holmes Goes Missing in Sullivan County in 1955

According to The Charley Project, Frederick Andrew Holmes was last seen at his family home in Grahamsville, New York on May 25th, 1955.

Holmes was at home with his mother while she was working in the garden. Around 9 am Frederick, also known as Freddie, "stopped in a cobbler's shed next to his home and spoke to his family's landlord. "

This was the last time the young boy was seen as reported by The Charley Project.

At the time, Freddie was wearing a long sleeved polo shirt with faded brown corduroy overalls. He's described as a white male with blond hair, and blue eyes.

Police Investigated Possible Grahamsville, NY Child Abduction

Police began an extensive search for the young boy, but there was no sign of him.

It's been reported that police at the time investigated Freddie's parents and the landlord. His parents passed the polygraph test and were later cleared as suspects.

As for the landlord, his residence was search where they found numerous stolen items in his garage, but no sign of the young boy. The landlord was later jailed for theft.

Since then, no one has ever been named a suspect in the Freddie Holmes disappearance. .

The Charley Project explains that since the day Freddie went missing his mother "believed her son was kidnapped and sold." They go on to write "He had long hair at the time of his disappearance and his sister speculated someone could have passed him off as a girl to evade detection."
