According to a press release from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, a woman from Ulster Park in Ulster County has been arrested and charged with 2 felonies and 2 misdemeanors.

Lisa M. Harris, 49, of Ulster Park, was arrested and charged yesterday with the felonies of Forgery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. She was also charged with the misdemeanors of Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree.

Police said that they received a call from and responded to a residence in the Town of Esopus for a forgery and larceny complaint.

Once police arrived and investigated they determined that Harris stole a check from the residence and then forged the victim's signature on the check. The investigation also revealed that Harris cashed the forged check at a local bank.

Harris was arraigned in the Town of Esopus Justice Court and released on her own recognizance to appear in the Town of Ulster Justice Court on a later date.
