Three Ulster County residents have been charged in connection with the theft of $8,000 worth of razor blades from the BJ’s Wholesale Club on Route 9.

According to the New York State Police the 3 Ulster County residents are Andre K. Pritchard, 45, of Kingston,was charged with Grand Larceny, a Felony. Michael Demaio, 46, of Milton,was also charged with Grand Larceny, a Felony and Leanne Demaio, 43, of Highland who was charged with Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The thefts allegedly took place in March and April at the wholesale club and were reported to authorities.

After an investigation it was revealed that Pritchard and Michael Demaio had stolen more than $8,000 worth of razor blades from the Wappinger wholesale club. It was also discovered that Leann Demaio had stolen razor blades from the Wappinger BJ’s Store with the two men during that time period.

Michael Demaio, who was already in jail, at the Putnam County Jail on unrelated charges, was arraigned in Wappinger Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Andre Pritchard was arrested and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance and Leanne Demaio was issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
