Town of Esopus Hamlet Residents are Invited to Zoning Meeting

Wednesday February 19th, 2020 a Hamlet Zoning Update meeting will be held for Esopus, West Park, Rifton and St. Remy. This meeting will take place at the Esopus Fire Department located at 1142 Broadway (Route 9W) in Esopus starting at 7 PM. The meeting is planned to run until 9 PM.

This event is hosted by the Town of Esopus and it's purpose is to get opinions from the local hamlets heard in regards to future plans for developments in the Hamlets. Having well planned zoning can protect neighborhoods, support local economic growth while also creating sustainable lively communities.

The Esopus Zoning Task Force is looking at the current zoning codes and what they could look like in the future. They want to make sure that they are aiming to be what the towns want to see. This is a public meeting and the public is encouraged to attend and bring their ideas and opinions. Make sure your hamlet is heard. The agenda for this meeting will be posted soon
