The Ties Have It

Last night on The Voice when Blake Shelton told Riley Elmore "I know Michael Buble" maybe he should have said "I know Keith Urban." If it is a fashion trend, I'll say go for it. Keith Urban is rocking a suit with a skinny tie in his latest video for his new hit "Blue Ain't Your Color" and he makes it look good. This new bluesy tune with a throwback vibe, I predict will be a number one for Keith who typically dresses a bit more casual.

So what is this trend that seems to be popping up in country music? You May recall that Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge had a tour last fall called "Suits and Boots", Thomas was even quoted in Billboard Magazine that he wanted to bring back the "soul" to country music. I think Keith is leading the pack with his new song and his crooner look.

Last night on "The Voice" Team Adam picked up 16 year old Riley Elmore and I am confident that that Team Blake will be looking for a steal. Both Adam and Blake saw Riley's potential and it may have been Adam's offer to help him loosen up or it could have been the suit and tie, that clinch Riley's decision to go with Adam. Either way I am going to bet that if Riley comes up for a steal Blake will grab him up before MIley and Alicia can hit their buzzer. After all Blake knows Michael Buble and he wants to come back as Dean Martin.
