The New Nominees For the National Toy Hall of Fame Are?

Every year when they announce the nominees, I am always surprised that some of these aren't already in the Toy hall of fame.

The National Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, New York just announced the 12 nominees for this year's class.

And as usual, it's a weird mix of stuff.

The nominees are: American Girl dolls, Battleship, Super Soaker water guns, Jenga , Playmobil figures, Wiffle ball (how is wiffle ball not already in the hall?), Twister and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Also: The spinning top, coloring books (again how is the coloring book not already in?) the scooter and puppets (shouldn't puppets be a category?) I know I'm thinking way to hard on this stuff. It's starting to make me feel like how I feel about Pete Rose not being in the Baseball Hall of Fame. LOL.

Two of those will get voted in by a panel of toy experts, inventors, and historians. They'll be inducted on November 5th.

Last year there were three inductees were, green Army men, the Rubik's Cube, and bubbles.
