Popular Ulster County Restaurant Announces it’s Closing

A fan favorite restaurant has announced that after three years, it will be closing in Saugerties, New York.

After three years, the folks at the Kitchen at Salt & Fire in Saugerties, NY, have announced that they have decided to close the restaurant located in the heart of Saugerties at 124 Partition Street.

The Kitchen at Salt & Fire announced on Facebook, explaining that as the restaurant's lease comes to an end, they are preparing to permanently close so they can move on to their next adventure. The post stated,

"Well, this is a tough one. It’s been a wild three years! I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to live out a lifelong dream and build so many relationships along the way. Being a part of this business community is something that I will cherish forever."

 

The Kitchen at Salt & Fire Closed

At the time, the post didn't say when the restaurant's last day of service would be, but according to Google and folks who live in Saugerties, the restaurant has already closed. Fans of the restaurant flooded the comment section with well wishes and sadness, saying things like, "This is sad news. We have always enjoyed our visits to your lovely establishment," and "I can’t describe how much this saddens me. From the minute they opened, I loved this restaurant. It felt like home. The staff was amazing, the food was out of this world, just the whole experience."

Thank You for the Memories

The owners expressed how thankful they were for all of the support the restaurant received over the years, saying, "I’m so thankful for all of your support along the way. I’m thankful for the highs and the lows. I’m thankful to have been able to share my passion with perfect strangers."

We did reach out to owners to ask about their "next adventure," but haven't heard back yet. It's unclear what will replace the restaurant now that they've closed, but when that information is available, we will update this article.
