Our local fire companies are filled with people who are dedicated to their communities. Very often there are multiple generations in one firehouse.

Firehouses are a great place for teenagers to get a taste of what it is like to serve a community. Plus, if they hope to grow up to be a firefighter someday that is where they will get real hands-on experience. I am going to guess this is the case for one local firefighter being celebrated by his firehouse this week.
