The Pit bull disappeared from a residence on North Drive, in the town of Ulster, early Sunday morning.

According to the Daily Freeman, on Sunday, police said that 2 pit bulls were assaulted on North Drive and that one dog went missing while the other dog, Adonis was badly injured. Adonis suffered a cut straight through his hind bone, almost to the tail and required several stitches and staples. The vet bill topped $900.

The second dog, Blue was found dead on Monday near the owners residence. Ulster Police Chief Anthony Cruise told the Freeman that the dog disappearance has now turned into an animal cruelty investigation. Police have determined the cause of death was not natural.
