Solider Care Packages Destroyed in New York Fire
Here is how you can help.
According to News 10, the headquarters for Operation Adopt A Soldier, Inc. located in the town of Wilton in Saratoga, New York was heavily damaged over the weekend due to a massive fire and some really important care packages were a complete loss in the fire.
The fire took place on Saturday and the folks at Operation Adopt A Soldier have said that more than 250 care packages that were put together for soldiers stationed overseas were ruined in the fire and they are doing everything they can to re-pack the packages for the soldiers overseas.
Operation Adopt A Soldier sends thousands of care packages each year to our troops and has sent more than 300,000 packages in the 16 years they’ve been doing it and to keep it going they ae looking for any and all donations.
They have set up a GoFundme page to help raise money to replace the items that were lost in the fire and if you would like to make a donation, you can do that online here.
As of today there is no word on the cause of the fire but it is under investigation.
