As New Yorkers The folks at the New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) are beginning to prepare for whatever amount of snow Mother Nature decides to drop across the state. Snow totals will vary but the odds say that at some point we will have to deal with either a morning or evening commute that's affected by winter precipitation. Yes, we hate thinking about it but unfortunately, it's part of living in New York! Did you know there is a way to turn snow into cash?

Snow Fighters Needed

If you or someone you know is interested in helping keep the roads clear and safe this winter the folks at the New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) want to speak with you! According to their Facebook page,

"The Thruway is seeking qualified #snow fighters. Our plow drivers play a vital role in keeping the roads clear and safe for the millions of travelers who rely on the Thruway system."

Snow Plow Operators

The NYSTA is offering a bunch of incentives to anyone interested in joining the snow fighting team including on-the-job training, competitive pay, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, pension, and much more. Interested candidates can apply for the snow plow position online here.
