Barton Orchards Welcomes Apple and Pumpkin Pickers for the Season

Fall is here and now is the time when American's are heading out in their free time to pick their favorite fall treats, and Barton Orchard has them all.

They have something for everyone from your pumpkin and apple picking, to hayrides, corn mazes, haunted houses and of course their apple cider donuts, Barton Orchards in Poughquag is the place to be.

Barton is open Sunday through Wednesday 11 am until 6pm, Thursday 11 am until 10pm and Friday and Saturday 11am until 9pm.

Recently, Barton constructed a gorgeous Sound Garden that is now home to live performances.

There's a big celebration heading to Barton's Sound Garden in October that movie buffs wont want to miss.

Celebrate 50 Years of Rocky Horror Picture Show in Poughquag, NY

This year is the 50th anniversary of Rocky Horror Picture Show and Barton Orchards will be hosting a celebration like no other.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Live Experience brings the Time Warp to Barton Orchards for 2 nights only on October 17th and 18th, 2025.

According to the site, fans will get 2 nights of "outrageous costumes, cult-classic chaos and that sweet Time Warp you know and love."

Special guests at the Rocky Horror Picture Show live experience include RuPaul's Drag Race star Loosey LaDuca playing the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Additionally, there will be a costume contest with prizes!

Show's start at 8 pm, and ticket admission gets you into the 90-minute show, as well as access to the corn maze, haunted house, tap room, concessions, the petting zoo and apple picking (open until 5:30 pm).

VIP upgrades are available for the show too that come with early entry with access to the best seats at 7:00 pm and exclusive Meet & Greets with cast members after the show.

Upcoming Events at Barton Orchards

The family fun doesn't stop there!

Barton Orchards has a full schedule of events for the season including Kids Fun Day at the Farm on Thursday, October 2nd.

Additionally, Thursday nights are line dancing nights starting at 6:30 pm.

On October 3rd, New York's thirstiest band, Shilelagh Law will bring "old songs, new songs, jigs, reels, dancing, weeping, lots of laughter" and plenty of drinks to Barton Orchards.

And even more fun for the adults, Big Music Trivia and Bingo every 2nd and 4th Sunday at the orchard.
