This has to be a bit embarrassing but thankfully nobody got hurt.

According to the Times Herald Record, the Rock Hill Fire Department headquarters was the scene of fire truck mishap that caused a bit of damage to the firehouse.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Tuesday as one of the fire company's member's was pulling a fire truck out of one of the eight bays at the firehouse, to get it ready for a weekend parade, it hit the main support beam on one of the bays, and caused the roof to collapse.

Rock Hill Fire Chief Kris Gwiozdowski told the Record that the firetruck was moving forward out of the bay, when an equipment door slid open, a shelf popped out, and the truck hit a support beam that caused the roof to come down. Thankfully nobody was injured in the accident.

Gwiozdowski also said that no vehicles in the bay were damaged in the mishap and that the fire company is 100 percent in service.

The parade they are gearing up for is the annual Sullivan County Volunteer Fireman’s Association parade. It gets underway at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
