
Non Profit in New York Takes One Worry Out of Caregiving
At some point in our lives, we are bound to encounter someone who may need a bit of extra supervision in order for them to stay safe. Luckily there is a program Project Lifesaver that can help.
Project Lifesaver Now Available Through the Ulster County Sherriff's Office
Even if you don't know someone personally you are bound to have read or heard about someone going missing that might be in danger due to a condition that may have led to them disappearing in the first place. Program Lifesaver a 501 (c)(3) community-based public safety program is now being offered in the Hudson Valley that can help locate a vulnerable person adult or child.
This non-profit organization provides assistance to law enforcement, fire/rescue, and caregivers with programs that are set up to help the elderly and children who might be prone to wandering due to a developmental condition or cognitive issue such as Alzheimer's.

Living with someone who can become vulnerable if they are not supervised can be difficult but having them wander off on their own can be devasting and life-threatening.
Project Lifesaver is available through many local police departments. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office has just announced that they are offering this program. The system relies on proven radio technology along with specially trained search and rescue teams.
If you are a caregiver you are encouraged to find out more about this program which has a nearly 100 percent success rate location an individual wearing the transmitter which has been properly maintained.
