Sushi in Poughkeepsie
Personally, I'm a sushi lover and anytime I get a chance to go out for it there's only one place I go nowadays! I've tried various places near my house in Poughkeepsie before but always seem to find myself back at Akari Sushi & Japanese Food.
Honestly, I've tried a ton of places but there's something different about the sushi at Akari, located at 35 Main Street, Poughkeepsie near the Poughkeepsie train station, it's always better in my opinion. They offer a ton of sushi options and a bunch more.
My go-to order is a Spider-Man Roll, followed by a Snow Mountain Roll, and then a Godzilla Roll OMG so good!

The new locations will replace the former Little Asia restaurant that closed a while back in the plaza that's home to Panera, Verizon, and Starbucks.
When Will They Open?
An exact opening date for Akari II hasn't been announced yet as the restaurant is currently under construction, but it does appear that they are getting close to opening soon.
We have reached out to try and get a specific opening date but haven't heard back yet. When we do we will update this article.
