How Many People Have a Pet Ferret
It turned out they had corraled a ferret. Ferrets by the way are not wild animals. There is evidence that they have been domesticated since ancient times. According to a USA Today poll about 1 percent of people keep a ferret as a pet.

You might think one percent is small, but when you compare it to the same poll reported in August 2024, which says 26 percent of people have cats and just under 45 percent have dogs, it is a pretty good number.

The Port Chester Police are looking for whoever might be missing their ferret. They are working closely with the New Rochelle Humane Society so the animal is getting good care, plus food and rest while the police work to find out where this ferret calls home.
If you recognize this cute little face or you live in the area and know of someone missing a ferret please contact the Port Chester Police Department.
