With the 3rd Annual Taste of Country Music Festival just 38 short days away, I think it is time for me to admit something to all of you. Here goes, I have never seen Keith Urban live in concert. Doesn't even seem possible does it? Who hasn't seen Keith Urban in concert, he has been touring since 1999.

Keith Urban arrived in Nashville in the early 90's after releasing an album in Australia 1991 which had four chart singles on it. Once he got to the US he worked as session guitarist. He appeared Alan Jackson's Mercury Blues video. He even started a band called The Ranch.  In 1999 Keith released his first solo album in the US and well the rest is history.

So, why haven't I seen Keith in concert? I wish I had a good answer to that good question, after all I am a huge fan. Making Memories of Us was my wedding song. So why did I miss him in Rhinebeck when he played the Dutchess County Fair or every time he played in Albany, NYC and NJ? I even missed him last summer at Bethel Woods. Well the simple answer is "every time he has been in town I have been out of town". Yes, that is the stupid answer. The reason I have never seen Keith Urban live in concert is I am always out of town.

Since 1999 I have had to miss Keith's show. It almost seems impossible but it's not. However it looks like the streak is coming to an end, I am actually in town June 12th which means this is the year I finally see Keith in concert. Friday night June 12th I plan to be on Hunter Mountain rockin' out to Keith ... finally. Hope to see your there too.
