Orange County K9 Places 2nd at National Competition
This one is for the dogs.
In a good way of course. When a story comes through about a local first responder doing good in their community we love to share it. So when our local K9's do the same, we have to shine the light on the good boys and girls.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office shared to their Facebook page that K-9 Maverick took part in the National Detector Trials in Albany this week. The event, which is hosted by the United States Police Canine Association, puts 50 K-9 teams from across the US against each other.
K-9 Maverick and his partner OCSO's Deputy Michael Muller placed 2nd in the competition.
Sheriff DuBois said in a statement "Our K-9 program has a long award-winning history and Deputy Muller and K-9 Maverick are continuing that tradition."
