Domestic Incident Occurs in Campbell Hall, NY

On Sunday night October 26th, 2025, Orange County Deputies responded to a domestic incident in the Campbell Hall area.

According to a press release, the incident allegedly involved a gunshot.

When Deputies arrived at the scene the "observed 25-year-old male in the driveway" who was then "immediately detained."

Deputies interviewed family members and learned that there was a verbal argument and that the suspected allegedly "retrieved a handgun," went into the backyard and then fired a round towards the woods.

However, when officers arrived the weapon was no longer in the mans possession.

Orange County K9 Enzo Tracks Down Missing Evidence

K9 Enzo and his handler Deputy Luke Solomon got to work tracking down the missing evidence.

The press release states that Enzo "initiated a track and evidence search through a large field, wooded area and ravine behind the home."

Shortly after K9 Enzo tracked "into a water-filled area and alerted to the firearm" which was partially submerged in the mud.

As the search continued K9 Enzo then located a loaded magazine which was hidden beneath the high grass around the area of the ravine.

Domestic Suspect In Orange County Faces Several Charges

The statement goes on to add that after the gun and magazine were recovered that the suspect was transported to the Orange County Sheriff's Office and charged with the following:

Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Class E Felony)
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor)

The suspect was arraigned and released later, pending a future County Court date.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office ended their statement adding "We commend Deputy Solomon and K-9 Enzo for their outstanding work in locating critical evidence and ensuring the safety of all involved."
