NY State Amber Alert Activated for 3-Year-Old Girl

This is a parent or grandparent's worst nightmare. Their child is missing and they need our help. In this case, the abduction occurred after a domestic dispute.

At 4:45 this afternoon, the New York City Police Department 52nd Precinct activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction. The child, Rebecca Valenzuela, was forcibly taken by the suspect, Diomedes Valenzuela, after assaulting his spouse with knife causing serious physical injury. Rebecca is 3 years old, hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. She weighs approximately 30 pounds and is 2' 6" tall.

The suspect is driving a 2004 Silver Dodge Caravan with NJ license plate number K24ECS. According to the New York State Police, the vehicle was last seen traveling on GW Bridge possibly heading for New Jersey.
