Hudson Valley residents are still gathering their bearings after an unexpected earthquake.

4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Felt in The Hudson Valley

On Friday, April 5th, 2024 around 10:23 am residents across the Hudson Valley region reported buildings shaking. As word started to spread,  Earthquake.usgs.gov confirmed a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Whitehouse Station New Jersey.

The earthquake was felt all throughout the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and even near Massachusetts.

Earthquake Caught on Camera at Wolf Conservation Center

Social media was buzzing with everyone sharing their earthquake encounters. But one Westchester County organization had its live stream camera up and running through the earthquake and caught a unique perspective.

While many humans ran to social media to ask if they were going crazy or if there was an actual earthquake in New York, the wolves kept their cool. Looks like the wolves handled it better than most humans did. I may be speaking for myself. I digress.

South Salem, NY Wolf Conservation Center Mourns Moose

Last week, the Wolf Conservation Center announced the passing of one of their beloved wolves, Moose.

Moose was born at the Wolf Conservation Center facility in 2010 and lived a full life, even finding love and growing his own family. In a statement posted to Facebook, the staff writes:
