
NY County to Give Free Measles Vaccines
Have you never been vaccinated for measles, mumps and rubella? Westchester County is helping out by giving free vaccinations to help combat the recent measles outbreak in New York.
The vaccines will be given out on April 30 and May 14 from 10am to 6pm at 134 Court Street in White Plains. For more information on the measles outbreak in the Hudson Valley click here.
From mayoclinic.com, here are a few signs of measles in adults:
- Fever.
- Dry cough.
- Runny nose.
- Sore throat.
- Inflamed eyes (conjunctivitis)
- Tiny white spots with bluish-white centers on a red background found inside the mouth on the inner lining of the cheek — also called Koplik's spots.
If you think you have been infected, contact your doctor immediately.
