A Route 9W bank was robbed Wednesday morning and Newburgh Police along with New York State Troopers are seeking a suspect.

The incident occurred just after 11:00 A.M. at the M & T Bank in the Town of Newburgh. A press release posted to the Town of Newburgh PBA Facebook page describes the suspect as a white male wearing a black hoodie, camouflage pants, with a black ski mask and gloves. He was able to flee on foot into the woods behind the bank with an undetermined amount of money.

Newburgh has been hit with a string of bank robberies in recent months starting with a Citizens Bank in December. January 3rd a Chase branch just down the road from M & T was robbed. Then, the following week a Wells Fargo bank was robbed on North Plank Road
