11 New Cannabis Dispensary Licenses Issued in Hudson Valley

Six of the new licenses were issued to businesses based in Dutchess County and five in Ulster County.

If you are a recreational marijuana user and live in the Hudson Valley, get ready to have a bunch of new places to purchase product from as the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has announced recenlty that they have approved 11 adult-use recreational cannabis dispensary licenses.

New Cannabis Dispensaries Opening in Hudson Valley

New York's OCM approved eleven new licenses on Tuesday, awarding six of the licenses to businesses based in Dutchess County, NY, and the other five to businesses based in Ulster County, New York according to the Daily Freeman.

New Dutchess & Ulster County Cannabis Dispensaries

The New York States Cannabis Control Board granted licenses to the following five Ulster County businesses, Four Reds LLC, Kaddalack Jack LLC, HM OPS LLC, Hurley Grown LLC, and Ellenville Cannabis LLC. The Cannabis Control Board also granted licenses to the following six Dutchess County businesses, IHQ Inc., Hudson River Hemp LLC., Medfarm Inc., Hempire Farms LLC, Vision – Single Source Love LLC, and Two Puffs and Pass LLC.

All 11 of the new license holders will now be permitted to open new dispensaries anywhere in the Mid-Hudson region and will not restrict them to the county in which the licenses were granted according to Taylor Randi Lee of the state Office of Cannabis Management. The Mid-Hudson region includes Ulster, Greene, Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Westchester, and Putnam counties. It's unclear today where the new license holders will open, but when new locations are announced we will update this article.

In total this year the OCM has approved 951 licenses statewide. There are currently 188 adult-use cannabis dispensaries across New York State according to the OCM including three in Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange Counties.
