National Line Dance Competition Makes One Stop in New York

If you follow Hudson Valley Bars on social media there is a good chance you have seen a line dancing event or two promoted. Line dancing has been popular in the Hudosn Valley Bars for decades.

Country Line Dance Competition Comes to Pine Island, New York

Billy Joe's Ribworks in Newburgh has made line dancing on the Hudson River a two-night-a-week event for almost a year now. You can head to Billy Joe's on Tuesday which was the original night and now on Friday.

Other bars, restaurants, and breweries offer nights throughout the year as well but one night that is scheduled for May this year is actually a competition. Billed as the Biggest Line Dance Competition in America, Standard Western Line Dance Showdown 2025 is coming to the Hudson Valley on May 3, 2025.

Standard Western Line Dance Showdown 2025 Comes to New York

Blue Arrow Farm in Pine Island, New York will be the location for this competition's only New York Qualifier. People from this qualifier could be invited to the championship in Nashville in December. The plan is to have 3 men and 3 women chosen from this event to head to Nashville.

Line Dance Competition at Blue Arrow Farm

Blue Arrow hosts regular line dancing nights along with other events. If you want to get a sneak peek at what it is like to dance at Blue Arrow they are having a Line Dancing Night on April 18th. The night of the competition is also a regular line dancing night so all are welcome to come out whether you want to compete or not.
