Mexicali Blue is CJ’s Go-To Place

As we all get used to a different way of life when its comes to where and what we can do out in public, I wanted to suggest a place for your next meal that I think you will enjoy just as much, if not more than I did.

On weekends that I have my kids, I love more that there are so many choices when I pick them up at their house in Wappingers Falls and we want to go out for dinner there.

Sometimes it can be overwhelming when we try and all decide on a place. The only time there is no argument is when we say we want Mexican food. Almost every time, like clockwork, we all say "Mexicali Blue."

All it took was for us to go to their Wappingers Falls location at 1591 Route 9 one time a few years ago and we were hooked. Their menu has something for everyone to enjoy, from nachos and guacamole to tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and my absolute favorite the hanger steak burrito, it's SO GOOD!

Their burritos are so good that the Food Network named them the Best in the Country!

Just a few weekends ago, we decided that we were going to head out to eat to a restaurant for the first time in what feels like forever. I have to say the folks at Mexicali Blue have done their homework to make sure that we're all able to enjoy a great meal out safely.

They have gone above and beyond guidelines when it comes to safety for each and every guest. They have touch-free menus that you access through your smart phone.

Their tables are 6 feet apart, all staff wear masks, they have hand sanitizer stations set up throughout the restaurant, and they disinfect chairs, booths and tables after every guest.

Another step they have taken to make sure we are safe to eat inside or outside (weather permitting) is they've installed an air curtain extraction system to keep fresh air circulating between the outside and inside.

So if you are planning a date night or your next dinner out with the family, I hope you give Mexicali Blue a try. I know if you do, you'll love it like I do.
