A proposed construction project could change the face of Kingston's Rondout if approved. According to the Daily Freeman, developer Robert Iannucci has had his eye on building a 'Mystic Seaport' type of development and has been buying up property in the area for more than 15 years.

The multi-year project was put before the Kingston City Planning Board Monday and would include apartments, a parking garage, and hotel. What is being billed as the 'Supergarage' aims to address housing needs along with added parking and would act as a means to draw people to the area. The first phase would include construction of a boat museum and restoration facility according to The Freeman.
