Martina McBride and Sara Evans recently teamed up for a stellar version of Dolly Parton's classic country song, "Jolene."

They performed the song for the television show Front and Center as part of the Country Music Association's Songwriter Series. The episode was titled "Ladies Night Out," and it featured McBride and Evans' modern take on the timeless song.

“I’ve known Sara for a long time, and it was lot of fun to get to share the stage with her,” McBride says. “I also loved the fact that we got to hear from the songwriters themselves. Having them on stage with us made the evening really special.”

“Getting to share the stage with Martina and all of the amazing writers on public television’s Front and Center and the CMA Songwriter Series was an incredible night that I’ll never forget," Evans adds.

The CMA Songwriter Series features beautiful performances and behind-the-scenes looks at some of the most talented songwriters and singers in Music City. Front and Center recently featured Hunter Hayes alongside songwriters Barry Dean (Little Big Town's "Pontoon,") Gordie Sampson (Carrie Underwood's "Just a Dream") and Lori McKenna (Little Big Town's "Girl Crush").

“It was really a privilege to be invited to do a performance during the CMA Songwriters Series,” Hayes shares. “Not only did we get the chance to do a different show highlighting the songs and stories behind them, but I had the unique chance to share the stage with three fantastic songwriters who I look up to and admire.”

Upcoming episodes will feature Little Big Town, Brandy Clark, and others. Fans can learn more about the show by visiting the website for Front and Center.
