Look Out For Another Phone Scam!

The Town Of Lloyd Police are reporting another scam in our area. A phony Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. employee has been running a local phone scam, demanding payment for nonexistent overdue bills.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal here is how they say it works...A male caller tells residents that if they don't pay the "overdue bills" immediately — with money orders or Moneygram — their Central Hudson service will be terminated.

Anyone who gets such a phone call should contact the Town of Lloyd Police at 845-691-6102 or their local law enforcement agency.
