His name is Joseph Waldman is now be credited with quite the honest deed. According the the Yeshiva World, Waldman went to a Sterling National Bank branch on Wednesday to cash a check.

The check was for $25 and when Waldman gave it to the teller at the bank, the teller gave him $2,500 instead of just the $25.

Waldman said that he didn't realize the tellers mistake until he got home and discovered the bank envelope the teller handed him was stuffed with $100 bills instead of singles.

After discovering the mistake he headed back to the Bank branch to return the $2,500 minus his original $25, for a total of $2,475 returned.

When asked if he thought about keeping the money he said

"Not even one iota came into my mind, When I took it out I said, 'No, it wasn't mine.

Sterling National Bank rep Suzanne Copeland released a statement about the incident:

"We pride ourselves on the level of sophistication and security we provide our clients. We have swiftly taken the appropriate corrective action in this matter, and we offer our gratitude to Mr. Waldman for his honesty and integrity."
