Lauren Alaina is representing country music on the upcoming Season 28 of ABC's Dancing With The Stars. How exactly did she get the offer to dance on the hit show?

The answer is simple. "Bobby Bones talked me into it," Alaina explained to iHeartRadio's The Bull, adding jokingly that if she is eliminated during the first week, she is holding Bones accountable. "I'm never talking to him again, that will be the end of our friendship."

Alaina also has other connections to the show aside from Bones. "A lot of people who worked for Dancing With The Stars worked for American Idol," the Season 10 AI alum explained. "And Bobby said when I was there that I need to do the show and I said 'oh yeah that'd be fun!'... and they called me for the next season. So here we are!"

Alaina shared that she already has her dance shoes, which she claims are a little strange—"so weird." She asked for prayers for her feet.

Alaina also has ventured into the show's costume department. "I sat down with the wardrobe people, and I was like, 'We're gonna have to talk about these outfits. 'Cause I'm not wearing short, short, short things,'" she said. "'Can I wear tights every show? I don't care if the tights show through my shoes like Dolly Parton, I am not dancing without tights on my legs.'"

Though Alaina thinks she might be the "worst dancer," she did previously compete in cheerleading. Her professional dancing partner has not been revealed yet, but fans will find out during the season premiere just who will be guiding the singer through her steps.
