The Airshow Was Over The Weekend And I Almost Died

As you may or may not know, the NY airshow was over the weekend at Stewart International Airport.

I forgot about it on Saturday and almost died.  OK, so I didn't "almost" die but I thought I was going to, maybe.

I had forgotten that it was happening on Saturday and was leaving the station to head to PA via I-84.  I'm driving and all of a sudden I hear this loud noise and see a flash in the sky.  Next thing I know, there is a jet fighter in front of me doing twists and turns.  I think, "that was cool.  What are they doing though?"  and keep on driving.  About 20 seconds later, that same jet is in front of me and just sitting there.  Not moving, not flying, just floating.

I'm totally amazed and just watch, with my mouth open when suddenly I feel the wheel of my car shaking and a vibration throughout my body.

I had been so into the jet just sitting there that I had veered off the road.  Thank god for those little rumble strips.

I snapped out of my amazement and went on my way.

Next time, I'm just pulling over.
