What's the saying? You can't teach an old dog new tricks? Well, I'm taking that saying and flipping it on its head.

At the age of 33, I have finally decided it's time for me to learn how to play guitar! If you've listened to the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show in the past, more specifically during the COVID lockdown, you'd know that I took an old guitar and tried to learn how to play with all the free time I had.

And...I failed miserably. I started making banana bread instead just like everyone else.

However, thanks to that new show on Fox called Monarch (starring Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon), I felt that spark again. So, I teamed up with Fret Zealot to light up my life and teach me the ways of my favorite country stars.

I've always been a visual learner, and Fret Zealot is perfect for me. They have created a revolutionary way for inspiring musicians to learn how to play with an LED system that lights up the bridge of your guitar as you learn to play. When you pair that with their companion app and huge online library of video lessons, you have the perfect way to learn on your schedule and at your own pace.

I'm just starting my Fret Zealot journey and I already have a great feeling about this. Not to mention they have a video library of over 80K + songs I can learn. You know I love my country music, but I'm planning to learn songs from some of my favorites like Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, and Lizzo!

If you're anything like me and are a music lover who's never successfully learned how to play, Fret Zealot is the way to go. Try Fret Zealot today and learn guitar with light. Check out FretZealot.com for more.
